Anxiety Therapy in Ontario

Anxiety can show up in many ways. You might find yourself overthinking conversations, worrying about what could go wrong, struggling to make decisions, or feeling like your mind rarely gets a chance to slow down. Sometimes, anxiety is obvious. Other times, it can look like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feeling the need to always be in control.

Therapy can offer a space to understand your anxiety beyond simply trying to make it go away. Together, we can explore the patterns, experiences, and fears that may be keeping you stuck, while developing practical ways to manage anxious thoughts and feel more grounded in everyday life.

My approach to anxiety therapy is compassionate and curious. Rather than judging anxious parts of yourself, we may begin to understand how they serve you, what they may be trying to protect you from, and finally, find our way to a healthier relationship with anxiety.

You don't have to wait until anxiety becomes overwhelming to ask for support.

Therapy for Self-Esteem & Self-Worth

˚⋆. ࿔ ˚ ⋆ ⋆ ˚࿔ ⋆ ⋆ ࿔˚˚

You have worked hard, and maybe you're accomplished on paper.
But for some reason, there’s a voice that still doesn't believe you're enough. Compliments are difficult to believe, mistakes feel deeply personal, and your inner voice seems to hold you to a standard you would never expect from someone you love.

Low self-esteem isn't always obvious. It can appear as comparing yourself to others, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, seeking reassurance, questioning your decisions, or feeling as though your worth depends on how well you perform or how others perceive you.

In therapy, we can explore the experiences that may have shaped the way you see yourself today. It's about developing a more compassionate, balanced, and secure relationship with yourself. Over time, therapy can help you become more aware of the stories you tell yourself, challenge patterns that are hurtful, and build a sense of self-worth that isn't dependent on external factors.

You deserve a relationship with yourself that feels supportive, not constantly evaluative.

Therapy for Feeling Stuck

Maybe nothing is obviously wrong, but something doesn’t feel quite right. You might feel disconnected from yourself, uncertain about what you want, or frustrated that you keep returning to stuck feelings, despite understanding them. You know you want something to change… you’re just not sure what that change is supposed to look like.

Feeling stuck can show up as indecision - freezing - lack of motivation, overthinking, difficulty trusting yourself, or simply going through the motions of everyday life. Sometimes, it comes from spending so much time meeting expectations, or doing what you think you should do that it becomes difficult to recognize what you actually want.

Therapy offers a space to slow down and challenge dogmatic thoughts, to become curious about what may be keeping you in place. Together, we can explore the emotions, relationships, and expectations beneath the surface while reconnecting with your needs, values, and sense of self.

You don’t need to know exactly where you’re going to recognize that you’re ready for something to change.

Therapy for Life Transitions

Sometimes the hardest seasons of life are the ones where everything is changing, even when the change is something you had always wanted.

A new career, graduation, a breakup, moving somewhere new, changing relationships, or becoming more independent. Sometimes, realizing that the life you once imagined doesn’t feel right can bring up uncertainty about who you are and where you're going next.

During a life transition, you may find yourself thinking, “Why aren’t I happy?” or “Do I really know what I want?”. You may be grieving what you're leaving behind while simultaneously trying to make sense of what's ahead.

Together, we can make space for the uncertainty, identify what matters to you now, and make value-guided decisions.

You are allowed to outgrow your past self
while still appreciating who they’ve helped you become.

Nervous System & Emotional Regulation

	⋆˚࿔ ˚ ⋆ ⋆ ˚˚ ࿔ ⋆
˚⋆. ࿔ ˚ ⋆ ⋆ ˚࿔ ⋆ ⋆ ࿔˚˚

Our emotional and physical experiences are deeply connected.
When your nervous system is overwhelmed, you may feel constantly on edge, restless, emotionally reactive, or unable to relax. Sometimes, as a result, overwhelm can lead to shutting down, withdrawing, or feeling numb and disconnected.

Therapy can help you understand these responses with curiosity rather than judgment. Using nervous-system-informed approaches, we can explore your window of tolerance, recognizing what pushes you into overwhelm or shutdown and developing tools to help you feel more grounded, safe, and present.

The goal isn't to feel calm all the time, but to expand your capacity to experience difficult emotions without becoming consumed by them. To find a soft spot in your system to feel present, engaged, and connected.

Regulation is about learning to recognize what your nervous system needs
and finding your way back to yourself
